Who we're looking for
This is real physical work, so we will be plain about it. The job requires the ability to lift and carry furniture repeatedly through a full shift, reliable transportation to get yourself to each job site, and passing a background check. If that sounds like you, we would like to hear from you.
Common questions
Do I need my own truck?
No. Most helpers ride with the crew. A small number of jobs need a truck, and only helpers we have approved for truck jobs get those offers. You never need a truck to start or to stay busy.
How does pay work?
You are paid an hourly rate for every hour you work on a job, set for the area you work in. Pay is sent daily after your jobs are reviewed, you can choose instant payouts, and all of your tips are on top of that.
Is this full time or part time?
It is whatever you make it. You are an independent contractor, so you take the jobs that fit your week and pass on the rest. Some helpers work a day or two a week; others treat it as full time.

Say yes and we may assign you a job the same day a customer books it.
Pay and paperwork
You are paid by direct deposit. Never enter a bank account or routing number on this form. Once you are approved, you enter your bank details yourself, directly with Stripe, our payment processor.
We do not collect your tax information or ID on this form. Once you are approved, you complete your W-9 and upload a photo ID in your helper portal, and sign your independent contractor agreement there.
Background Check Disclosure and Authorization
As part of your application, Cartwheel will check your name against publicly available criminal history and sex offender registry records. By checking this box and submitting your application, you authorize this check and confirm that the criminal history information you provided above is accurate and complete. Providing false or incomplete information is grounds for denying your application or removing you from the platform if discovered later.
We review applications in the order they come in — most get an answer within 24 to 48 hours. Busy weeks or new zones can take a few days longer, so give us up to five business days before checking in.
